the baby is a baby. he doesn't know the difference yet. unless people are refusing to give him attention. i don't understand what you mean at the end. telling a baby he's cute when he may not be isn't a sin.

i would bring to his attention his attractive features like his bone structure, the color of his eyes, his physique, his smile, etc. everyone has flaws but we focus on the pleasant qualities because when you focus on the the negatives in a person they're always gonna seem like a piece of crap to you. i wouldn't lie to him at all and i know for a fact others would see in him what i did. i like to believe that very few people would think such things about someone like that. and i 150% believe that he would benefit from seeing the attractive qualities within himself both in and out. telling him that he is "awful" looking wouldn't even be the truth, i would only be telling him what a random person may think about him which is completely unnecessary seeing that ALL kids have enough trouble with self esteem issues, why try to worsen it?
