The Basset Hound is a short-legged breed of dog of the hound family. They are scent hounds, bred to hunt rabbits by scent. Their sense of smell for tracking is second only to that of the Bloodhound. The name Basset is derived from the French word bas, meaning "low", with the attenuating suffix -et, together meaning "rather low". If you count them up, about 1/2 of them are in the Southeaster USA. ALL dealerships there are run by one guy. There is a similar type of organization in the eastern US but it's not about cars, if you get my meaning. Therefore, I would tend to think that all of them are connected to the same person. That being said, I would be very leery of doing business with those guys.

Basset are lovable, clever hounds. Excellent with children, great hoovers, comical, photogenic and contain alot of SLOBBER. trust me i know...i have 4 of them lol
