Chicken bouilion. Hot tea w/honey - if it's really bad - add a little brandy to help you sleep. Any sherbert, but no dairy products.

Whatever you eat or taking can't cure a cold. Best remedy is not what you eat but what you do. Whenever I find a cold coming, I tuck myself in bed with layers of blanket to sweat it out. Very effective. Never have a cold for the past 10 years.

if you have a sore throat, or "stuff" in your throat I've found hot toast to help clean it off.

a curry with loads of garlic and spice OR a chili dish. Chillies and garlic have lots of antioxidants in them to help your body.

These are wonderful answers, but there is also a warm drink called thera flu its for colds/flu symptoms, and hot tea with lemon/honey is good too and hot fries with salt is good for the sore throat and cough, the potato gives extra potassium which is good for you. My daughter had it yesterday too and I made her some hot cappucino and she took some tylenol cold medicine and today she is better, I hope you feel better too and stay warm as you can under a blanket or warm robe, dont get a draft because that will make it worse. Rest and sleep and drink something warm before you sleep, no dairy products , and one other thing believe it or not warm jello , it is good too, not hot, just after the heat comes off drink it like at room temperature , it soothes your throat too

I always love to eat a nice bowl of really warm creamy mashed potato when i feel yukki. makes me feel so much better
