  • Vasaline will help some.
  • I'm hyperventilating over someone telling you to put a petroleum product under there... A little olive oil would serve the same purpose without the yak factor of vaseline (and be much better for your skin), but if you happen to have some lavender essential oil, that would be best. a little touch in a drop of olive oil. it will help heal it and soothe the skin. anything with comfrey or calendula in it would work too. If the skin is broken or raw, try a little honey and olive oil mixture to help fight infection while protecting it from further damage.
  • Vitamin E will soothe it and heals quickly.
  • ont too blow it too hard too many times and if you need ti=oo put albysoil in hot water
  • aloe vera or petroleum jelly.
  • I always plaster on original Nivea creme, and lots of it!
  • Believe it or not, use a very little Balmex (Diaper Rash cream) on the red area and the redness will go away, so does the pain. It also seals the area where you put it on, so moisture from your runny nose won't keep it chapped. (I found this cure by accident). When I was looking for a cream to put on the red spot my daughter gets from wiping her nose and rubbing the tissue across her cheek, that was all I had.... so I said, hey it works for chapping, what the heck .
  • Neosporine is great. kills the germs, too.
  • i put patroleum jelly :) works good
  • I have found that using good old chapstick..orignal unscented and unflavored kind works great! seals in the area and sooths the skin. I had tried lotion but it just STINGS!
  • bag balm
  • I usually use hand lotion or vaseline. It helps to use the new Kleenex with aloe vera lotion on them, it seems to take longer to get chapped.
  • Blistex. I just tried it. It works quite well. A little cold, but the menthol in it is helping with the congestion too.
  • Vaseline works wonders for me! Even try putting some on before bed and sleep with it on.
  • I get this all the time when I am sick, even when I use Puffs Plus...which is why I came here but Neosporin makes my chapped nose worse! Just so you know...
