  • I don't believe God did have or does have a purpose for mankind. When man was created he/she were given minds to reason. Mankind has choice and free will and creates their own purposes in live .If there was a purpose we would be like all the other animals and exist only to eat and propagate. Mankind has a higher purpose, therefore it is not God's purpose.
  • God created man to be a companion and friend to Himself, for His pleasure. Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Adam was to fellowship with God. God walked and talked with him in the garden. Abraham was called by God, a friend. The whole Bible teaches that God wants us to be His loyal and honored friends, by our own choice. Those who choose to accept His friendship and love are called Saints, and when our days on Earth are over we are taken home to be with Him forever. Those who do not accept His friendship are sent away from Him, for disobedience to His plan for us. That is our choice to make, and that is all we can do to make our own destiny. Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. Our destiny is already written before we are born, the only variable in the equation is which choice we make. With Him, or against Him. What is your choice?
  • God's original purpose for mankind was to live on a paradise Earth for eternity and to never die or feel any sickness, sadness and hurt. Everything was going fine until Adam and Eve disobeyed God. To back my answer, read Isaiah 45:18
  • Whatever makes you think that God needs a purpose. To answer your question a person would need to think like God and I don't think that we are quite up to that yet. God is unknowable so whatever we say about Him will be wrong
  • “God blessed them and God said to them: ‘Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth.’”—Gen. 1:28.
  • I believe that God originally created us to live forever and have fellowship with Him eternally, and when we sinned against Him, we were seperated from Him. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to atone for our sins, purchase our salvation with His own precious blood, be buried, rise from the dead, and bring mankind back to God; as well as give us everlasting life.(See John 3:16) Thank you and God bless you!
  • Granted that God does not answer to anybody (Job 36:22,23; Dan 4:35). But over and over again he solicits from man to seek for Him (Psalm 78:1; Isa 55:6). So, although there will always be matters way beyond our comprehension (Isa 55:8,9), in regard to the relation of God with mankind he reveals at least the most important things to know (Pro 2:6), including the reason of why he created us in the first place. If he says that man was created in his image (Gen 1:26) then there must be aspects of his personality -and even of His very nature- that shouldn't be so hard for us to understand. One such aspect is that everything he brings up to existence has the primary goal to bring praise to him. Even if such things are inanimate, they compel observing intelligent beings to praise God once again for the beauty of His works (Psalms 148; Job 38:4,7). Another aspect is that God never fails (Isa 55:11). So, if God once set his mind to raise a huge human family living in perfect harmony with nature (Gen 1:27,28) that purpose is yet to be met (Num 23:19; Isa 14:24; Jos 23:14; Psalm 135:6).
