  • No. This isn't Communist China. yet.
  • no because we should work togather
  • I'm more concerned about them 'getting to big to fail' and we the taxpayers must fork over umpteen billions of dollars to them.
  • If you ask me, the offensive things about Wal-Mart are the crappy pay/benefits and the subsidies they receive. Many of their employees are on public benefits, which is an indirect subsidy to Wal-Mart. They also get subsidies for things like tax breaks to locate, traffic costs they incur, etc..
  • In the interest of fair competition in the marketplace and upholding anti-trust regulations, I say yes.
  • Have you been in Walmart lately? Nobody competes against them. If you want lower quality cheapness, you can go there or go somewhere else and get a higher quality product. Value does not necessarily mean low prices. Besides, if you are not killed by one of those crazy ladies trying to give you a basket when you walk in, just consider yourself lucky and keep on moving. I had one follow me the other day all the way to the automotive department because I made eye contact. She said I reminded her of her grandson that was living with the angels now. I don't need that kinda trip when I am trying to get my pine scented air freshners. If she hadn't given me a shiney new quarter and offered to buy me a happy meal at the in store McDonalds, I might have reported her....wait a minute...that wasn't a date was it? If I go back, does that mean I am leading her on? See...Walmart will F*#& with your head man! Better off to go watch the blue lights twirl at Kmart.
  • this would not capitalism, the US gov should always and forever stay the ^&%#$& out of private or publicly traded buisness/companies http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1338731
  • NO!! The government shouldn't be in the business of punishing companies that succeed. Wal-Mart may be a monster sized company, but it's not as if they don't have any competition. They don't act specifically to target their competition with their sales and marketing strategy. They succeed because people give them their business. There is nothing to stop you from forming your own company and succeeding as well. Unless you would like the government to stop you as well?
