I told my mom about an idea for a business. She says, "I don't know," then goes on about my cousin and his own business and how he's so smart. I got annoyed; she gets angry that I get annoyed. Do I have a "right" to feel this way?

(Question continued.) She's always comparing me to other people, such as my older brother, and she thinks whatever I do is worthless. She always says I'm doing "nothing." And she tells me how she's so embarrassed of me. She constantly invalidates my feelings and seems to act as if I can't feel her criticism. Not trying to victimize myself here -- just saying that's as it appears to me.
