Have you ever listened to a song to realize halfway through that you have no clue what the lyrics are? What about realizing that it wasn't in English?

I had this issue with The Cocteau Twins. Then I had it again when I realized it wasn't another language, just a Scottish accent and that I have a very poor attention span. Yeesh.

ever heard of Beck? I had a friend while I was living in Holland and he was from Bosnia he was really into Beck and wanted me to translate Im a Loser into Dutch so he could translate into bosnian, and I kept telling him Dude the song has no meaning it'e just a bunch of words that sorta rhyme and sound good together. He insisted that it had real deep meaning, freaking hilarious man.

Yes. And yes. I love music, but I often tune out the lyrics until I've heard the music several times. And certain languages carry the same rythym as English to my ear, so unless I'm paying attention...well, I don't always notice if I'm listening to French or German or English, or possibly something else.
