It depends on the crime. Sentences for crimes related to crack should be slashed to the same levels as crimes involving heroin or coke. But the average murderer spends about 11 years in jail. I think that statistic should become at least 15.

I think that if once a person is convicted of a bad crime...they should be taken directly behind the courthouse and shot. Save the tax payers money and deter other people from becomming criminals.
