You gotta put the jelly on the peanut butter. The Peanut butter STICKS to the bread and allows you to put the jelly on top. If you do it in reverse, the jelly STICKS to the peanut butter and comes off the bread! Documented research is sure hard to come by these days, isn't it? LOL
-
Put the peanut butter on the bread, then the jelly on the peanut butter!
-
you put the jam on the peanut butter and you drink it all up
-
I put peanut butter on 1 slice, and jelly on the other. That way when you bring them together, it's a perfect match!
-
The jelly never touches my bread. I put peanut butter on both slices of bread and then put jelly on one slice. You may think I'm crazy, but it makes the BEST PB&J you've ever tasted!! My s/o thought I was nuts, and then he ate his words! LOL
-
I put the peanut butter on one side and the jelly on the other...then bring the two halves together :)
-
Neither, I put jelly on one side of the bread and jelly on the other and slap the two pieces together.
-
Jelly on the peanut butter
-
Neither... I wouldn't mix them - just sounds tooooooo nasty!!
-
I put the peanut butter on one slice and the jelly on the other ... but I prefer jam and toast instead of bread! It's best when everything is warm and melts!! Yum.
-
PB first then the jam..the other way around would be a bit more difficult I think. Happy Wednesday! :) ((hugs))
-
Peanut butter on one slice and jam on the other slice. Not jelly, reminds me of Jello - Yuck.
-
Peanut butter on one slice of bread and jelly on the other and put the two slices together.
-
neither! it is a revolting combination which i would NEVER eat but when i've made this for my children, i put one on each slice of bread
-
right now its Jelly on Jelly..............I'll wait until the Peanut Butter is Salmonella free.
-
Neither. I'm a bit interesting, I suppose.... I put the peanut butter on one piece of bread and the jelly on another. Then I have my monkey pound out a drum roll as I bring the two together! Hahaha! Please, Still... most of that is true... I don't really have a monkey. :-)
-
Peanut butter on one side, JAM or PRESERVES on the other. Jelly's not even made with fruit. Juice and sugar. Eew.

The Politics of Peanut Butter and Jelly. 1. Lay out two slices of bread. 2. Out of respect for proponents of the Fairness Doctrine apply peanut butter to the slice on the left first. 3. Apply the jelly (the tastier and most appealing of the two) to the slice on the right. 4. Carefully lift the slice on the right and cover the left so it will be on the bottom. Note: The jellied slice(the one the right) is there to keep the stuff on the left from sticking to and gumming up the roof of your mouth. Finally, I hope that no one would construe this as an indication that politics pervades my entire life, I gotta' eat too.
-
I don't do either and i am still having difficulty imagining anyone eating peanut butter with jelly. Please link me to a picture of this jelly stuff.
-
I just put Peanut Butter!! I don't like Jelly on it that much!!
-
Neither. I put peanut butter on one side and the jelly or jam on the other.
-
peanut butter on the jelly for me :)
-
The jelly on the peanut butter. I must try putting the peanut butter on the jelly to see if there is a difference in taste! :)
-
Why not mix the penut butter and jelly together, then spread it on the bread?
-
Always put the jelly on the peanut butter-otherwise the peanut butter won't adhere to the bread and the bread will break apart much easier.
-
Peanut butter on one slice, Jelly on the other, then "Jam" them together.
-
PB on both slices of bread with the jelly in the middle!
