Finding a single man in a mountainous region still ruled by sympathetic tribal factions is not easy. Finding him is not really that important, as someone will just take his place. This isn't a battle about a single person, the dynamics run much, much deeper.

Fire is more primitive than concrete and steel. If technology always won, then the towers would still be standing and we wouldn't be having this discussion. But we are, which proves that technology has it's limits and can be defeated with low-tech measures.

Yes, we are expected to believe that. We are told that a 6'5" tall dude has NO PROBLEMS blending in with a country full of shorter people! We are told that OF COURSE he is still up and running from cave to cave, dragging his dialysis machine behind him! We aren't told of the incredible poverty in the area, which would mean that people would be selling their neighbors off as Osama for the staggering amounts of $$ offered for him - but we are expected to believe any pablum the current government spoonfeeds us.

The answer to the question is : Yes, we are supposed to believe that. The fact that we have not captured this person keeps us fueled to fight terrorism. Perhaps many people cannot grasp the real threat that international terroristic groups pose on a country still so vulnerable and trusting as The USA, so to acknowledge and revere in the fact that this one terrorist has been captured, may allow many citizens to veiw the war on terrorism as won, rather than more focused on other terrorists. We perhaps are fed the proper information from mass media to keeep us from questioning further actions which may carry on after this man is captured. I think it's part of a propaganda ploy, to mainatin a common perspective pertaining to this issue, as we know we are often told things that keep us coming back to the TV for more.....
