Actor and former U.S. president Ronald Wilson Reagan is being given credit for everything good had happened during his administration, whether he was responsible or not -- Some even seem to credit him with creating good weather.
Reagan's administration cut social spending to the bone, creating the homeless problem by turning hundreds of thousands of mentally ill people out on the streets.
President Reagan appointed quintessential conservative, Antonin Scalia to the Supreme Court, gave chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein, and claimed that trees cause most pollution, cut school funding, trying to classify ketchup as a vegetable, traded arms, money, drugs, and hostages between Iran and the Nicaraguan rebels -- More appointed officials were indicted and convicted of crimes than under any other president.
Reagan administration blatant refusal to deal with the issue of AIDS while thousands of Americans were dying from the disease. Popular American motion-picture actor Rock Hudson became the first major public figure to die of AIDS-related illness in 1986. It would be a further two years, and nearly five years after the outbreak of the epidemic, before President Ronald Reagan mentioned the terms AIDS.
The 40th president of the United States catastrophically lowered taxes in 1981, creating debt so bad he raised taxes each of the next six years and still didn't make up for it. And while he streamlined the complex and exemption-riddled income tax, his changes created the largest-ever shift of tax burden from the wealthy to the middle-class and working poor.
Reagan was a mediocre actor who desperately needed a second career -- A bad president, who promulgated bad policies and appointed bad people.
Ronald Reagan cut the marginal tax rate, patting the backs of all the rich people who helped him win the presidential election. This action made him very popular with his friends in high places, while slowing the economy down, down, down.
I was mostly amazed that America could elect such an inept presiden. Reagan was one of the worst president America has ever loved. American people wanted someone who could be honest and likeable, so they elected and actor.
a total and complete joke. but the joke isn't funny anymore.
He should have been in prison for the debt he put our country in. He was a figurehead the last few years in office. He helped fund terrorism
Reagan was a bad president
Under Reagan, we sent the deficit skyrocketing, growing faster in real dollars than under any other president, including the current one. We cut social spending to the bone, creating the homeless problem by turning hundreds of thousands of mentally ill people out on the streets. We appointed Antonin Scalia to the Supreme Court. We cut school funding, trying to classify ketchup as a vegetable. We banned the Beach Boys as attracting the wrong sort of crowd. We traded arms, money, drugs, and hostages between Iran and the Nicaraguan rebels. More appointed officials were indicted and convicted of crimes than under any other president. We gave chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein. We claimed that trees cause most pollution.

Yes. He is still dead.
Loved Bedtime for Bonzo.
May he rest in peace. And I sure hope another like him comes along in the very near future. The world needs that in a big way.
he was a great president and he will be missed.
i would love to see one of his movies.
err erm er ..........nope
I don't recall.
In my opinion, he was most definitely the best president in my time. Very charming guy! RIP President Reagan.
Ronald Reagan was brilliant enough to realize that it doesn't matter how big the national debt is, what is important is the percentage of national income that government gets--whether by taxation or by borrowing. So instead of doing what all previous Republicans had done--raise taxes to pay down the national debt, so that Democrats spent the tax increase and borrowed even more--he cut taxes so that the national debt ballooned and Democrats couldn't continue to increase spending. This reduced the federal government's share of the national income, and since the people had more money left to spend and invest efficiently, during Reagan's time in office our economy created as much wealth as existed in all of West Germany. He also bankrupted the Soviet Union through the Strategic Defense Initiative and forced that evil empire to disgorge its client states and give up its plans for world conquest. One of the three greatest Presidents of all time.
He was a very good & noble President. It's a shame how long he suffered from Alzheimers. He was a good man also.
he was a great President the best we had in years. We will never again have one as great as he was.
The best president in the last 50 years.
He was a really great guy.
Um... he was a good actor, a good president, a loyal hubby, and he is dead.
Definitely in the top three greatest presidents of all time.
He's dead, I hope to meet him in the resurrection.
In my opinion, best president ever. Took out the USSR in a pretty awesome way. Cut taxes which helped the economy(always does). Agressive when he needed to be. Strong leader. Love that kid, haha.
