Young people overwhelmingly think that it is important for children to see people of their own race on television. Children of colour think this more strongly. Do you think this is true or false and why?

Personally, I'd say it would probably be better to turn the TV off and see no one of any color on TV. The American Academy of Pediatrics would tend to agree. Kids need to see people face to face.

False as most studies done so far indicate that young children really aren't aware of colour in that way.

I think that way of thinking is dying out. People are more comfortable with diversity than they were years ago. This is a good thing no matter what anyone thinks.

Who cares? At least many US television shows already have a lot of races, with good guys, and bad guys from all races.
