Wow, major insecure person. Are they the only ones allowed to think you are beautiful? You cant control other peoples words or actions. I would tell him/her that I a not going to stop being around someone because they think I am beautiful, that is silly. I have done nothing wrong, and neither has that other person. -
I would tell him to jam it and I'd talk to whoever i want to talk to :)

I was in a relationship like that for 7 years and I lost a ton of good friends because of it... I can tell you now I will never let a man run my life like that again!!! I will talk to who I want when I want!!! If my man now doesnt like it than the doesnt care much about me... and well he can leave!!!

HELLO BEAUTIFUL!!! Wish I could type that in an even bigger font! Would not allow myself to be partner, et al., with such a control freak, who would definitely fall into the category of "mental"! Could not imagine being on the receiving end of such a circumstance...nor would I ever impose it. I would welcome others seeing my s/o as BEAUTIFUL...and damn proud of it.

i would have a major talk with my partner and let them know that is something i will never do for them. no one has the right to "own" and control someone else like that. this is a case of major insecurity, low self esteem, and jealousy. i would want to encourage the partner to get therapy and work through these issues. but i would also try to help my partner bolster their self esteem by being very overt and demonstrative with my love and affection for them and letting them know that no one else even comes close to being as beautiful as they are in my eyes.

I would talk to my friend and tell them to save the nicknames to when he/she wasn't around...that he/she feels uncomfy when they say stuff like that. I wouldn't stop talking to my friend at all. Actually I would tell my s/o that maybe he should tell me that once in a while so others don't hafta.
