  • Pre-deciding about their career goals, without consulting them or knowing their interests.
  • Being too judgemental. If you keep saying to a child that he is good/bad in something or in general (especially when he/she is not) that will affect him not in a good way.
  • They should avoid talking about them about race.
  • Comparing them and their abilities with other people's children.
  • Avoid aggressiveness!
  • If I am understanding your question, I think parents should avoid talking about their children's private issues. Sometimes, I think it is awful to hear other parents tell me about their children's sexual activities, certain behavioral issues (pee the bed, thumb-sucking, etc.) that they have not out-grown or anything that may embarrass the children if they were present.
  • Embarrassing them..making critical comments about them..telling people how disappointed you are in them. I think parents should be their kids best cheerleaders. If you have nothing good to say, remain silent. It is far kinder to your child and will minimize your regrets when they are older! :)
  • parents should avoid making them shame in front of other peole.they should praise them on passing through papers
  • anything that would embarrass the child or put him in a negative light.
