Big time dud, which kind of sucks because Kevin James is awesome with comic timing. When it fails, I'll blame the writers for overdoing the whole "I'm a graceful, yet lovingly clumsy fat guy." routine.

I went to see it today and I have to say it will be a big hit. It's well-written and well-organized for a comedy movie, and Kevin James is great in it. I often find comedies disappointing----they're either brainless, not funny, or use a lot of profanity (or a combination of all three), but "Mall Cop" was very funny without resorting to cheap tricks and swear words. For once I didn't keep looking at my watch wondering when the film would end.

I really dig the guy. He's great in his sitcom, and his personality alone can carry the movie. He's got funny stuff.
