How can you not use the key? Insert the key in the lock, turn it to the left, and open the door. How hard is that?

You're reading I have a 1997 Expedition. The battery has run down and I can not remote unlock the doors or use the key to unlock the doors to get in to open the hood. Anyone know how to get in?

Um-if the key didn't turn when I put it in the lock, then maybe the lock is broken! Duh. That could be why I put the key won't unlock it in the question-you think? Thank you for answering though. Sorry if it was too dumb for you. I was kinda hoping someone would know how to break in without actually breaking a window seeing as how I am a single mother who is having some difficulties right now and can't afford the $70+ to pay a locksmith or tow company to come unlock it.
