  • it comes in his time not yours, thats the part we don't want to hear let alone understand.
  • I dont understand your question. If you are asking why your prayers dont come true its because you are asking for too selfish or grandiose things. You pray for the strength to get through the day, or pray that someone who is sick gets better. You dont pray for the cure for cancer or AIDS, or that your football team wins. It doesnt matter what the Bible says as long as you believe in what you are doing. You gotta relax.
  • Since i cant write comments, ill write another answer, lol. I think you were going about it the wrong way. You were waiting for God to waive his magic wand and make it all better. I once heard this story in church: There was a massive flood, and this lady had to go onto her rooftop because of the water level. She prayed to God to save her. Later that day a helicopter flew by and she waived it away saying, "God will save me". Later a boat came by and she did the same. She drowned in the end, and when she got to heaven she asked St Peter, "Why did God allow me to die?", and St. Peter said, "What are you talking about, we sent you helicopters and boats!" If you were abused, and you asked God for help, for strength to get through it, then you couldve stopped it. You needed to ask friends for help, call the police, or look up information on child protective services and someone wouldve come.
  • It's simple logic. When ANYONE asks ANYONE else for something, what are the possible answers? "Yes", "No", or "In a bit" (wait). So, why should it appear anywhere? Those are the only possible answers. As for God not answering your prayers, did you ever consider that He was "testing" your faith? or teaching you that you are so much stronger than you think/thought? Remember, He supposedly never gives us anything more than we can handle. Did you learn to "handle" the beatings? Did you learn how to find true friends, later in life? Did you find happiness later in life? Did you learn what NOT to do to your children? How to be more "open" to friendship? To be self-reliant? etc? Couldn't that be God answering your childhood prayers, teaching you how to be YOU?
