I am a sucker for accents of all kinds. My only peeves are: 1.) When they are obviously put on. I'm Southern and can spot a fake drawl almost instantly. I hate it. You see all these B-grade actors playing a Southerner by dropping the final R or G on every word, as in "That Elmah Fudd, he's always a-chasin' that rabbit, but 'e ain't nevah gonna catch 'im." We do that, sometimes, but not to the degree that the B-grade actors do. And by the way, it's "y'all," not "you-all." 2.) When actors, broadcasters, etc. have the accent drilled out of them. Generic English is a shame. Bring back accents!

Please don't be offended. I love African-American accents. They sound really cool. I don't like Hindu accents-hard to understand.
-
BIRMINGHAM. I love accents but the Birmingham accent just grates it is so whiney. I also loathe the lack of decent accent and poor English that most Childrens show presenters use. Other than that I love most accents and am quite a good mimic. Not just English most International accents too
-
No offense to anyone, but I can't stand really heavy Michigan, Jersey, etc. accents. And I hate it when people say "warsh" instead of wash. You hear that a lot where I'm from.
-
I love the IRISH brogue. It may take sometime to get the ear for it, but it is very musical and distinctive.
-
lol. I never thought about it like that. On it's way to Texas, it must have caught on in Oklahoma, 'cause that's where I'm from.
-
I like British accents I'm not a big fan of a heavy southern drawl. A light hint of a southern accent is cool but when it gets too heavy then it gets annoying.
-
i think when women have that cockney slang mixed with their accent its just a big turn off. but i absolutly get weak in the knees for french accents, ive said it b4 and ill say it again you could totally take advantage of me as long as you speak french!
-
Hate any accent i can't understand. That's a bit rich coming from me, i have a VERY thick Glasgow accent. I love listening to the New York accent, my favourite being Joey from Friends. I also like a soft Liverpool or Newcastle accent, and love the Queensland accent from Australia (think Steve Irwin). My favourite accent of all is the Indian shopkeepers of Glasgow who use Glasgow slang, but in an Indian accent, such as 'git it roon ye ya wee baw bag' in an Indian accent, you've got to hear it.
-
More just weird than annoying, but I swear my voice teacher will easily go through three accents within about five minutes as if it was normal. But, it gets kind of annoying when he randomly tosses in Yiddish then gets mad at me for not understanding.
-
I hate South Indian accents.
-
I have to admit that listening to Americans talk gives me a sore throat (just listening to them!!!), I hate hearing fake Aussie accents, we Aussie's make fun of the Kiwi accent (New Zealanders). The worst is that when I am around people with a strong accent I start to pick it up and use it and some people find this offensive but I don't even realise I am doing it until someone points it out. Apart from the Yankee accent, not much bothers me, once I get my 'ear in' I can follow most anything.
-
I hate the Southern Accent (draw). Although they could be intelligent the accent seems slow and ignorant.
-
I think the Austrailian & English accents sound sexy.
-

-
I quite like the Irish, Italian and Spanish accents. South African is rather interesting to listen to. French doesn't do it for me.
-
I just love Eastern European/Russian accents, but I hate with a passion Western Mainland European accents. Euurgghh!!! So pathetic and ponsey. That's French, Spanish, Italian - those sorts, but those Serbs (and the like) are so sexy when they talk...whoo! There's one that runs a kiosk, and I go there just to hear her voice!! I'm fond of posh English accents, as mine is pretty close to that, itself.
-

German accent are just so damned hot. I mean, we're talking resist the urge to molest some one levels of hot. I hate the sound of an Arabic speaking woman's voice when she speaks in English. They get this whiny, almost nasal tone... especially the Lebanese. Seriously, look up Elissa's award accentence speach at the World Music Awards for Bastanak... sounds like she is a cross between Fran Drescher and a five year old.
-

I love my accent. People from my island are often mistaken as being Welsh or Irish when we're actually Scottish. Also love a Newcastle accent ('Are ya alreet pet?') a la Cheryl Cole. But top of the list has to be Morgan Freeman's. Followed closely by Sean Connery's. I HATE the harsh sound of German, but love English spoken with a continental accent of any nationality.
-
I can't stand Southern accents...
-
Hate fake upper class Brit. American tv commercials sometimes use it, I suppose they think it adds credibility.
-
I enjoy any accent, as long as I am able to understand what they are saying. Oh, wait, I lied. I hate a southern drawl. Love Paula; hate her drawl.

All accents sound kind of neat to me. I will say I don't like gang slang or gang gestures.
-
I'm sorry, and I know this sounds weird, but the accent of Danish that they speak in Copenhagen. I went to school in Denmark when I was in college, and the Koebenhavnsk accent (I swear) sounds like continually petulant whining. It's like fingernails on a blackboard.
-

-

California surfers
-
english
-
Some New Zealand and some white South African.
-
I'm not sure what you would call it, but the American accent that you seem to hear in the western states, I think? It is the more 'twangy' one that doesn't appear in the films as often. I just don't like the way it sounds.
-
none i'm a major sucker for an accent
-
Indian. Not that I have anything against people from India really, but most of the time I hear that accent, it is when I am trying to get some technical support so I am already irritated because I am having a rare problem that I cannot solve myself. As a result, some warped little part of my mind made the connection between Indian accents and frustration.
-
British accent--drives me crazy! No offense Brits.
-
No offense to anyone, but I don't particularly like the Australian accent.
