I have been getting downrated for giving my religious oppinion, even to reliigious questions. I even have supportive comments but my rating is still negative. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yeah it seems to be a touchy subject. I've said a couple of things and got negative points. I'll keep my views on religion to myself methinks!

Everyone has oppinions...My guess is if you would provide links and other "proofs" of what you are trying to discuss other than mierley arguing, people might give you a positive rating.

Yes all the time!! People ask for your opinion and then get mad when it is different!! I don't understand the deal personally!! If you don't want to know what others think don't ask!! I think some people just like to down rate all the time though!!

I've gotten negative ratings before and I couldn't care less. If people want to down rate my answers so be it but that isn't going to stop me from stating my point of view. I'd forget abot it and just go answer another question. Thinking about it to meis a waste of time.

I think it happens now and then to anyone who answers questions about God or Atheism. It doesn't seem to matter what you believe either. The Christians downgrade the Atheists and the Atheists downgrade the Christians and they all talk about how bad the other side is. So, you are not alone.

Most religions are not very user friendly and for the most part do not want any personal opinions. Stay in line, follow the rules, question nothing, parrot back everything you are told. Try another topic.

Religion is a divisive issue, so someone will always disagree and downrate you. Just stand firm in your convictions and don't back down as long as you can support your POV in a respectful way.

Yes, politics and religion will get you lots of DR. No matter what side you are on, some people are just to immature to talk about it, they are like a little child, you made them mad and they are going to throw a little fit with the DR button. I'm sure this comment will also get me several DR, but bring it on:)

me too ,but opinions are more important than points after all its not as though anyone gets a cheque at the end.

Yep everyone does, but I'm not going to stop just because of points. If that was the case you might as well not even have religious questions, there will always be opposition.
