Why, when I look on a jobsearch webpage and specify up to 10 miles from where I live, does it always offer me jobs in other towns 100 miles away? Since I don't have my own transport, how do they expect me to travel to work?

Sometimes the job location is actually near you, but the hiring office is located in the more distant town. You should not reject a job just because of the location, since you can always use public transport or find someone to take you to the workplace, such as a fellow worker. -
