  • the whole universe will end on that day- be afraid- be very afraid!!!! just kidding- its all a bunch of bullshit- the only thing we really have to fear is the world blowing up on that day. but it could blow up any day- that day is no different
  • No I don't believe it, I think they disappeared before they could actual make another one..hahahaha
  • I believe that there is something to it, but not sure what. It is said that the day the calendar ends, the planets will align. This I do believe as it has been backed up by science. However, as far as WHAT the alignment means, everything is speculation. Some theorize a complete climate shift. Others think the poles could shift. Some theorize nothing. I think we'll just have to wait and see.
  • (sarcasm), WELL, having followed the precepts of Mayan religion all my life, I'd sure better take this one part of it seriously...
  • life will never be quite the same again - beware
  • What other Mayan predictions have come true? None, I presume. In any case why bother? The finality of it is summed up in a date, which should be more representative of the potential of how much time before the actual end of the world as we know it, and not literally taken.
  • They are going to have to use swimsuit models to sell the next calander they make, their old one just doesn't do it for society today! :P
  • The Mayan calenders technology dates back to at least 600 BCE. It was last used at least 1100 years ago. Why would anyone in that time period bother to make any more calendar?
  • if anything it signafies the start of a new cycle or era in life.
  • the Mayan* calender ends 2012 but i've seen calenders up for save till 2015 in america. the mayan empire is long gone, its ironic that they thought they could predict the end of the world but couldn't even predict the destruction of their own empire. i don't take old prophesies seriously. Are we even sure that's why they stopped at 2012? Couldn't they have just run out of stone tablets?
