I am 13 and a half years old and thinking of getting my ear pierced(the left one).non of my friends have any piercings,I just think its cool to have a piercing.heaps of girls i know have their ears pierced,but do you think I should wait till Im 18?risks??

In the Portuguese culture many mothers have their baby girl's ears pierced at the age of 2 or older. Do talk to your parents about it first, though. Why just one ear though ?

it doesn't really matter what age you are. if you decide to get it pierced go to a professional piercing place and do not do it yourself. there are not many risks that result from getting your ear pierced. also, if you do not like it the hole will grow back. so go ahead and get your ear pierced just make sure you have your parents permission and go to a professional place.

Look, I am just happy that you have your mind on other things besides ERECTIONS. If you get your parental consent to do this, make sure you go to a shop that is very clean and reputable. If something does seem 100 percent sanitary, don't be embarrassed to leave. You can contract hepatitis or a bad infection if they don't properly sterilize the piercing gun. They should also be wearing latex gloves when they do it.

If you go to a professional, there's pretty much no risk involved. They have piercing guns, so it's quick, easy & doesn't hurt. You don't have time to feel the pain, it's that fast. And the best thing is, if you don't like it, You can leave the earring out. In time, the holes close up! Just make sure your parents know what you're doing. On another note, if you're planning on getting a fleshie (flesh tunnel), definitely go to a pro, but unlike just getting your ears pierced, fleshies really hurt, & to get rid of them, you have to cut the skin out of the inside of the hole with a razor, or even get part of the lobe surgically removed. Seriously consider if a fleshie is worth it.

Risks are pretty much non existent. If you want it pierced get it I had my tongue and ears pierced by your age. Hell with your ear you can pierce it yourself its really not a big deal. Things must be different nowadays because plenty of guys had their ears pierced in middle school when I was there

why only get one done? alright anyway, DOO IT!!! LOL. i hav my ears pierced soo many times. in my left ear i have: my helix, tragus, rook, and four lobe piercings. in my right ear i have: my traugs, helix, and four lobe piercings. im about to do another cartalige piercing too!!! =]. dosent matter if you w8 till ur 18 or not. the only real risk is infection, wich can be very easily avoided if you clean it. use salt water soaks and anti bacterial soap everyday, twice a day ( morning and night). you can even do it ur self if you wanted to and you will be alright!!! just chill!!!! the only one of my piercings that hurt was the rook!! didnt feel anything else so the pain factor wont be a problem!! good lucK!!!!!

My doctors office does piercings, check and see if yours does too, it's worth it.

Ah, go for it. Just go to a professional and make sure to keep the piercing clean. Oh, and don't forget to spin the earring occasionally. If you don't, it can get stuck, and that hurts like hell.

Babies have pierced ears. I think 13 is safe. Just get it done by a reputable place.

I say do it! There aren't really any serious risks with ear piercings. And don't worry about your age unless your parents care...I got my first body piercing when I was 13.

if you go sum were there is lik no risks they use a gun. i say do it!!!!!! i have 8 holes in my ears and 1 in my nose and i am fine.

Go for it! You're old enough to take care of it and probably responsible enough too. It doesn't even hurt, just feels like a pinch. Just make sure you get it done professionally, people who pierce themselves are kind of stupid. Good luck!
