The psychological difference is paranoia is a disorder that makes someone feel everyone is out to get them, or watching them etc. That could be caused from one of many disorders including bipolar, excessive drug abuse, head injuries and at times depression and anxiety disorder. Schizophrenics are mentally ill and can engage in agressive behavior, violence, hallucinations, hearing voices, harming themselves and or others and the list goes on, and some are paranoid and some are not.

a lot of ppl suffer both, schizophrenics can have multiple personalities and change at any time, paranoia is thinking others are against you etc. but just because you are paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you. most ppl with these illnesses are in clinics where they are looked after or in the community with suport workers and a multidisciplinary team caring for them as they can be a danger to themselves and others
