  • What I have observed as an Atheist on this matter, is that conversions are not a conscious decision because the religion made sense but it's been because of two things: a very traumatic event that screwed up the person's perception some how and made go into it or living a life of addiction, inmorality, crime, etc. and, for whatever the reason, deciding one day to substitute religion for the addiction
  • No religion makes since.
  • I was educated at a Church Of England school, and although never hugely religious or that active a believer, I made a conscious decision in my late teens that religion made no sense to me, I didn't see a need to have faith in something for which no real evidence exists, and I accepted that we should all take responsibility for our own actions in life. I also disliked the way that organised religion tries to control people, and the brainwashing of young children into a religion before they have the ability to draw their own conclusions and form their own beliefs is, to me, morally wrong.
  • Reigions, what silly superstitions.
  • While I wouldn't consider becoming an atheist converting, once the realization happened, continuing to a member of any religion made no sense.
  • A religion that makes sense? That will be the day!
  • There's no prefect religion, but I was once a catholic turn to a pentecostal christian. Does it make any sense? It answered most of question but not all. There are some things left unanswered. Like I said there's no perfect religion.
