I do not think so, but you really never know. The only reason I'd be skeptical is because people were saying that the year 1,000 was going to be the end, and obviously it wasn't.
-
No, obviously not. This is January 2nd; therefore, it is one of the first days. If you want to talk about the Christian idea of the end of time, that's one thing, but please be more specific. You might even try putting it under the "Christian" section. Contrary to your apparent belief, people can have religion and spirituality without being Christian (or even Abrahamic).

Maybe, maybe not...who knows
-
Last days of what? The holidays, winter, last days before the new days?
-
Well its Tuesday so we have several more days until the end of the week.
-
Probably not....but I guess it could happen
-
in the bible it says that a anti christ will come and the rapture will happen and there will be 7 years of horror and that hasnt happened yet so i guess it isnt the last days
-
None of US are getting any YOUNGER, so yes we are moving towards the Last Days.
-
I hope so - my brother promised I could have his golf clubs after the rapture.
-
The bible always says that the end of days will be unexpected. Too many people are expecting the end of days for it to happen.

Turn to your Bible and read 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Consider the words and compare them to the world around you. I think that you can answer this question for yourself. “ But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away”.

Bible says we are. But God does not exist in "time" so the last days to us could last thousands of years- to Him- its a wink.
-
Were living in OUR last days but not THE last days.
-
It is the first day... of May. Why do you ask?
-
For the past 2000 years, yes.
-
No. According to the Bible, the "last days" were supposed to have happened almost 2000 years ago. "Amen, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation." (Matthew 23:36) Literally - the generation Jesus was speaking to should have seen the end time. "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. "Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, know that he is near, at the gates. Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." (Matthew 24:29-35) Again, literally, the end times will happen during the lifetime of the generation of people He was speaking to. "Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near." (Revelation 1:3) Again, John says the time is near. "Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book." (Revelation 22:7) John quotes Jesus as saying He is coming soon (quickly, according to the KJV). There are many more examples, but the end times were supposed to happen almost 2000 years ago. They haven't, and they aren't happening now.

Maybe you are, but I plan on living forever.

Probably not. "But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33) Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready. Each new Christian denomination seems to worry about the end of the world a bit too much. Then after a couple of centuries, they realize that there are always wars and rumors of wars, etc. I won't even mention the hundreds of false predictions of the end of the world over the centuries, all of which were based on individual interpretations of biblical prophecies. The first century Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns. The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren. Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time. For more information, about what Catholics believe about the end of the world, see: http://www.americancatholic.org/Newsletters/CU/ac0993.asp With love in Christ.
