  • I think it came from the "Mission Impossible" TV Show. I am fifty years old, I remember watching that show when I was in Elementary School back in the early sixties. At the end of each show, or mission, they will say "mission accomplished", and it became synonymous with "well done, good job, we got it!"
  • When I say it these days, I say it sarcastically.
  • Sounds like something military that was taken over by civilians
