I've wondered the same thing myself. After a session here, I'm clicking off about 30 windows.
-
it may be b/c of how you have your settings set that do it, if not i don't know. it doesn't open a new window for me everytime
-
The only pages that usually pop up in a new window are profile pages for other users. If you're clicking on a lot of profile pages and not closing them, that could do it...
-
It doesn't.
-
I actually like it. It means I don't lose track of what I was doing and I can refer back.
-
I was actually just posting a question asking the exact same question. can we turn this off?
-
I get new windows whenever I click on a comment/rating or one of my friends' questions. It's completely annoying. I use firefox and have tried everything in settings to stop it, but this is how answerbag is apparently setup.
-
I dont know...its soo annoying constantly waiting for new windows to open. If we wanted to open it in a new window we would do it ourselves. I wish they would change it..
-
No, I use Firefox and it only creates a new tab. If you are using explorer, it will open up new windows.
-
Yes! I'd like to know if there's a way to change this...
-
well for me it is good

AB is well-designed. It opens another window when you click a link in a list of cmnments/etc so you do not loise your list of comments yuo may be working through If you close each popup window when you're done with it to go back to your list - you won't get a whole sheaf of windows there and if you use firefox it uses tabs but is other wise the same
-
because the creator of answer bag wants to mess with us
-
target="_blank" Using this html tag answerbag has done this trick!
