Why would you want to?
-
catholic is now seen more as a "family" thing. it's more like a culture than a religion now. so if you are not a practicing catholic, you can practice anything you want. if you are a practicing catholic there'd be no reason to practice another.
-
If you are a Catholic, you practice Catholicism. Practicing another religion makes you that. Now, you can investigate other religions, but I believe that once you "practice" a religion you have embraced it and left other religions behind.

Hmmm...no, I don't see how. Hinduism is a whole different bag from Christianity. There are teachings from all religions that Christianity also has. One of the most universal common denominators is "the Golden Rule" which goes something like, "Howsoever you would wish to be treated by others, treat them in the same way". Pretty good advice. But, that is not the be all and end of any religion. Christianity certainly involves much more,.. so does Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism. There is a sort of "pseudo-religion", the Ba'hai, which proposes to include all the tenets of all the major faiths. But, it is just that...a "created religion". It can never encompass all religions, because it is so loosely based...and based on no real foundation...other than that "there is a God". That is fine, but it goes no further really, than any of the other faiths. Some have said that even a Christian, Jew, or Muslim can "practice" many of the paths of Buddhism without compromising their own faiths. Not so sure, but if you think so,...your opinion. I don't understand why any practicing Christian should feel they must "compromise" any of their faith in order to "relate" to a believer of another faith. All the major religions have much in common as to basic morality and how to relate to others. None have any more or better "teachings" than Christianity does. But teachings are not religions. Much more is involved. I will always say what my faith involves, to anyone. I will not argue it, I will simply not deny it....

No, remember one of the 10 commandments is "thou shall no other god but I" and Exodus 34:14 "For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God"

You can, but the issue is here is your roots. You can have a LOT of fun in the surface levels of religions, but you need to dig deep, REAL deep, and see if you like the core of it all. I love my Jesus, and those who truly love Jesus won't stray for too long before you come back to the fold.

you can do whatever you want... religion is not something you have to follow, but something you create for yourself.
-
sure why not lol

The way I was taught, Catholicism says that every religion in the world is just a different path to the same destination. Based on that, I would think that you could practice any religion you want and still practice Catholicism. However, I don't know how Catholics feel about this. My whole time in Catholic school, no one ever said it was okay. Perhaps I should have asked real questions in religion class instead of just presenting my teacher with Biblical conundrums.

I think practicing Hinduism probably makes you a Hindu. But, really, I see no reason why you can't just do whatever you want. Then again, I'm an atheist, so what do I know?
-
You can do whatever you want. You can go from Rebublican to Democrat or vica versa. You can go for girls (not sure your boyfriend would like that...unless he's involved:)). You can get pepperoni instead of sausage (talking pizza there). I could go on...but won't.

Hinduism is considered as a religion but it is not! We call it Sanatan Dharma! We do not have many Gods as it is believed. There is only ONE! And we do not call THAT as God also.We call it Brahman!Hinduism as understood by the common folks is just for the simple minded person. How do you explain such a profound philosophy for the simple minded, so God with forms is created and various attributes are shown. Can you teach about calculus or trignometry to a first grader? No, so we go through a process of simple explanations and when that is made simpler we show THAT as having attributes and call it by the name of God!Anyone can follow it and still not feel denial from other religions!
