  • It really depends on what you are burning and how you burn it. If you are burning Hydrogen, the fire gives off just water vapor. If you are burning Hydrocarbons, like gasoline, or wood, etc., you will typically get a lot of CO2 and many other gases such as NO and CO. More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combustion
  • It would depend on what was being used for fuel. If it were just plain wood, that is one thing. But treated wood can give out cyanide, and many other flammable objects can give out very toxic fumes, especially plastics and treated fabric.
