In the state of SC can my landlord raise my rent with only giving me 4 days notice of this fact? The signed agreement states nothing about this issue.

Read your Rental/Lease Agreement Carefully. I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding of Commercial Law includes the concept that a Written Contract Cannot be altered unless both parties agree to it In Writing. If the Agreement doesn't have a way of raising the Rental fees before the lease ends, then you may have a case. (of course, State of Local Law may trump this).
