  • We'll you'll have to get a lawyer and get child support. I should be prorated from the time he left. However, it could be up to a year or more before you go before a judge. So until then you are pretty much screwed. If you rent I would talk to your landlord and see if you can get out of the lease so you can move to a cheaper place. If you have a mortgage he is responsible but if your names are both on it your credit could be screwed too. Basically you need to talk to a lawyer ASAP because laws very depending on what state you are in.
  • You should have a domestic relations office where you live.Check the blue pages in the phone book.Go there pay about $20.00 they will file paperwork to get you child support. Make sure you know his social security # , new address and work address. You will have a hearing scheduled, basically an office visit w/ you, him,& a social worker, bring any of his old pay stubs(if u have any) and your last few tax returns. You can call IRS(# in blue pages)they will mail copies for free.Act quickly before he leaves town.Good Luck!As long as he has a job they will garnish his wages.Sorry you have to go through this.
  • Get a lawyer that's what you have to do. There is nothing free for you that's for sure. You don't think he will come back? Three days isn't that long.
