I have a spayed cat that is behaving as though she were in heat. What is the cause of this and what can be done about it?

Cats and animals in general will behave in that way out of instinct. This can usually be minimized by spaying/neutering them at a young age, preferably before one year with cats.

You might also have your vet check your cat to see if there is still part of an ovary left in her after she was spayed.
