I did not know it had that high of a grade of meat.It is almost dog meat.
-
When did they start using meat?
-
And, how do we know this and do you have proof?
-
i had a friend who worked there and he said the meat came from dehydrate... i would assume that it could be any grade!
-
No, I didn't. Thanks for telling me.

This is actually one of those urban legends that got started and just kept on rolling. They don't use grade d beef, mostly because grade d beef doesn't exist. But the rumor is something like "Taco Bell is the second largest buyer of Grade D beef behind Alpo". And you heard it from a friend whose ex's sister used to work at Taco Bell and has UNDENIABLE PROOF! So yea, they don't use grade D beef - and grade D beef in fact doesn't even exist. It's OK, I bought that lie for a good six months back in High School.
-
FALSE! Did you know you can look up urban legends on a site called snopes.com?! No?? Well here it is: http://www.snopes.com/food/prepare/badmeat.asp
-
What does Grade D represent?
-
You mean it did poorly on it's math finals?
-
false: http://www.snopes.com/food/prepare/badmeat.asp USDA grades of beef: Prime; Choice; Select; Standard; Commercial; Utility; Cutter; Canner
-
no i just answerded a question saying i trusted the taco bell meat lol.
-
it looks like a kangaroo took a dump on a bunch of chips...
-
I have heard that from my hair dresser
-
Meat? :-)
-
i could care less. as far as im concerned taco bell is "real" mexican food. authentic mexican food is horrible but taco hell is awsome. taco hell cause thats how your stomach feels after initialy enjoying how great it tastes
-
State you evidence. Add a link to a web site that proves this.
-
Who said it was graded?...
-
Wow! Much better than what I thought they used.
-
they use meat?
-
All Mexican food uses grade 'D' meat, Reanna. What else is new? Do you expect ground-up "rib eye" or "T-bone" in chile?
-
It's better then the stuff they USED to use. Don't ask. :)
-
A manager at Taco Bell told me that, either he was wrong or joking! Thanks for clearing that up everybody. Either way I do remember from working there in high school that the "beans" originally were these dehydrated pellets that looked like rabbit food. I brought some to school to show to everybody just to see their surprised look.
-
no becouse taco bell DOESNT use "grade D" meat...
-
Is that "D" as in dog
-
i didn't know but i would of expected it
-
No but I do not eat there anyway.
-
are you sure that they don't use canner meat?
-
Oh well, it tastes great, and I'll be eating there tomorrow for lunch anyway.
-
Is Grade D for dog?
-
Alpo dog food uses a higher grade of meat than taco hell.
-
That's the reason I don't eat there.
-
They use "meat" from mexico, so grade f-
-
I just read the related Snopes article and I wouldn't be surprised if they used Canner-grade meat.
