• At a comfortable pace, 15 minutes per mile - which is 45 minutes, so 8:05. I tend to walk quicker cos I'm always impatient to get where I'm going :)
  • I'd leave almost an hour ahead of time, so that you won't be hot and sweaty when you get there and can relax and get ready for work.
  • 3 MPH is the generally accepted speed for walking, so 7:50 would technically be the correct time to leave home. You may want to leave somewhat earlier if you want a cooldown period before clocking in. You will also need to factor in stoplights. If you leave home at 7:30, you will have time for a snack on the way to work.
  • Get a bicycle
