It depends on what kind of music. Usually, no, though. :)
-
yes, drum n bass, blues and minimalist garage rock is getting me through my revision
-
Not really; it helps me to relax before getting to a task that requires concentration though. If I leave it on, it distracts me.
-
That's a very good question. Yes, it does. The problem with my brain is that it goes off on tangents. It's like idle hands when there is no input. Listening to music helps distract and allows me to focus.
-
Only if the music has no words.
-
yup. anthing almost.
-
only when Im doing my hair or makeup not when Im trying to count
-
it seems like music helps me with everything, I always have it on even if its not very loud.
-
Yes espescially Rage Against The Machine. Fight On!
-
yes music does wonders for me thats why i listen to music all the time.
-
Yes, but only if I listen to classical or instramental music. Anything with lyrics breaks my concentration because I want to listen to the words.
-
No if it is a song i rly.I'd love it so much that i'd just wanna get lost in the rythm of the song, therefore dancing or singing it. If it was nothing special, then according to the song,it would either help me concentrate or annoy me.
-
Sometimes. But, there's a big risk of me getting into it and then I just start thinking about music and drums and bass and riffs and time signatures and stuff. :D
-
It can be very distracting for me because I have a tendency to get involved with the song and often sing along with it.
-
It helps me concentrating i even listen to music when i study especially metal
-
It probably doesn't help me concentrate, but as long as it's just instrumental, it doesn't bother me. With vocal songs, I get too involved in the lyrics.
-
it actually helps me concentrate.:-)+
-
It's definitely a distraction albiet a nice distraction.
-
if it is the kind of music I'm in the mood to listen to, it helps me concentrate. Otherwise it distracts me.
-
I am a musician, and hearing unwanted music is a terrible distraction. When you are trained to analytically listen to music, you cannot switch it off. So while someone might quite happily do their shopping and switch off the muzak, I hear every dreadful note. :(
-
Neither. But it does help stimulate my mind, especially when I do boring things, like my job and writing my thesis.
-
If I'm reading, not at all. If I am doing some activity, then maybe.
-
Music does help me concentrate when I do my homework and stuff.
-
Not when I'm studying. Other times it sure can.
-
it used to be back when I was in high school but now there are times when I need to turn it off in order to read
-
No, as I get older music distracts my concentration.
