Nope I love it. Want to do it again.
-
No. I think it is fun.
-
not at all it still is the safest way to travel.
-
Used to be terrified..Now, I take tranquilizers the whole trip. If we hit turbulence, I even chew them. But, at least Ill go now:)
-
no it fun... i like the peanuts..
-
I love flying i get all excited when i know im going to fly anywhere.
-
I'm fine, just get a bit edgy when landing.
-
I'm in with all the others... I LOVE to fly...! When can we leave...?! ;-)
-
The travel bugs which have bitten me some years ago have also taken a certain measure of my fears away. However on some occasions when the weather is rough, fear often rear its ugly head again.
-
not if there are snacks on this plane!
-
No, not at all.
-
Been flying since I was born. Love, love, LOVE to fly!
-
haha no i am currently studying for my commercial pilots lisence so that would be pretty dodgy if i was afraid of flying.
-
With in the last 12 months for no explicable reason I've developed an intense fear of take off. When at cruising altitude it can be as bumpy as possible, landing is fine its just that 5 minute window that I'm gripping the arm rests and quietly freaking out. I don't get it.
-
the fisrt time i went on i was estatic but when a couple months later 9-11 happened i was somewhat scared to go onto another plane. I'm not afraid anymore.
-
Absolutely not. It's an adventure.
-
Actually ...no :-) !
-
Hell yeah! If I was meant to fly I would have been born with wings!
-
Nah, I do it all the time to go back East.
-
I'd rather fly it than ride in it...but then I am a pilot too...it is the safest way to travel...your more likely to have an accident on the way to the airport than have an accident in an airplane.
-
No, I actually love riding in a plane. I do get paranoid sometimes (fear of plane crash, for example), but my love for travel sort of erases the paranoia and the fear.
-
Nah, I love riding in a plane. I haven't in a while though, so I miss it. But I will be very soon, and I can't wait!
-
A little yes. I'd much rather take a different mode of transportation but if i have to i will ride in a plane.
-
Nah. I never have been. Eight hours on a plane is so, so not fun though.
-
yes....i don't feel in contol of it for some reason i also feel totally claustrophobic on a plane so generally I have to take meds to calm my nerves before a flight... sad i know...
-
yessssssssss i know this is the very tuff condition of lifeeeeeeeeeeee but this condition happen only on time of life
-
Nope...I am both a certified aircraft mechanic as well as a commercially rated pilot. I will admit there have been a few airplanes I have worked on I would think very seriously before getting in it and flying away. I know of one airplane I was almost afraid to taxi on the ground and I would never fly in it! But the owner did. I am glad I never had to inspect that airplane because I would have never signed it off as airworthy!
-
Nope, I am more afraid to ride in a car...
-
No I love flying in any kind of plane.
-
Not at all.
-
I always have that 'what if' in the back of my head.
-
Its not my favorite thing in the world to do because landing and taking off sucks... But the ride itself is still pretty cool all things considered. So no... Im not afraid, but I don't appreciate all of it.
-
It's okay. I'd prefer road trips.
-
I just get a little tense when there is turbulence but that's about all. I prefer to drive on most occasions. (Unless I'm going to Europe)
-
Only when lightning hits the aircraft! This happened while approaching NYC, and the plane lost all electrical power for about 3 minutes! The only light coming in was the flashes of arcs!
-
It makes me scared. http://drphil.com/slideshows/slideshow/4635/ She was not a threat. She wasnt doing anything illegal. She definitely didnt deserve a beatdown. Ralph Nader said the cop who gave her the concussion looks like a frustrated wrestler, looking to beat anyone up. If they had beaten her like that in a back alley they would be doing 15 years in jail. http://drphil.com/shows/video/
-
Not at all. Most times driving on I-95 is far more dangerous than any air travel.
-
Are you kidding....give me a plane ticket and I am outta here :)
-
I love to fly!
-
No, my OCD kills me every time I take the plane!
-
I used to be, but anymore though
-
No.......
-
I haven't tried yet! But it's sure I won't afraid!!
-
I love to fly, but don't like airlines much anymore.
-
The older I become, the more afraid (and physically uncomfortable in the plane) I become. Furthermore, I have more than one pilot's license, and 400+ hours flying time. Particularly, I don't care for landings, especially when the plane rolls. Recently, during a flight, liquid was leaking from the front of the wing towards the rear. The captain came back, looked, said it was water condensation, and ignored it. Well, from 11 km (36,090 ft or 6.8 mi) up to 20 km (65,620 ft or 12.4 mi), the constant temperature is -56.5 °C (-69.7 °F), it would seem to me that any water on the wing, assuming a flight altitude of 40,000 feet, would freeze at a temperature of approx. - 70 degrees F. The wing was still slick with whatever it was, and I worried that if the: 1. liquid on the wing was jet fuel, and, 2. reverse thrusters were used on landing, then, 3. the reverse thrusters, blowing the jet exhaust forward might well ignite the liquid. As it turned out, despite use of the thrusters, there was no fire, but I refuse to believe that the liquid was water. 4. and once the plane in which I was riding made a "touch and go" at Newark, and then landed on a different runway. There might have been a plane preparing to take off in the opposite direction, a truck on the runway, etc.
-
Not so much afraid, as I just don't like it. I did the first 40 or so times I flew. The hassle of arriving extra early, the whole search, remove your shoes, etc. I just don't care about flying anywhere anymore.
-
NO, BUT TODAY AT 3:26 P.M. EASTERN TIME, MY TIME 12:26 P.M. A MCDONALD DOUGLAS AIPPLANE TAKING OFF FROM NEW YORK JUST CRASHED INTO HUDSON BAY. I'M STILL WATCHING IT ON THE NEWS NOW.TODAY IS 1/15/09 AND THE FUSELAGE IS STILL ON WATER. THE FERRIES ALL CONVERGED ON THE AIRCRAFT AND ARE TAKING PEOPLE OFF THE PLANE. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, HE TRIED TO GET TO ANOTHER AIRPORT TO LAND AFTER 3200 FEET AND HITTING BIRDS THAT KNOCKED OUT THE 2 ENGINES. ALL ARE OFF TO SAFETY NOW AND IN HOSPITALS, THE PLANE IS SLOWLY GOING DOWN. THE FUSELAGE IS AGAINST THE F.D.N.Y. FIRE BOAT AND ANOTHER BOAT. THIS IS FROM ACTUAL NEWS THIS DAY THE PLANE WAS HEADING FOR NORTH CAROLINA AND ALL WERE SAVED. HAVE A NICE DAY.
-
not at all, people dont care to notice that you have a higher chance of dying in a car crash then in a plane crash.
-
Not planes,just the operators.
-
Nope and its GREAT to hear that everyone on that flight from LaGuardia survived!
-
I absolutely love it! I just had my first flight with a CFI 2 days ago as lesson #1 of my flight training to get my ppl. I absolutely love it and now totally want to become a pilot.
-
No way. It's one of my little joys in life to do.
-
Nah I wouldn't say I am. I'm not afraid to ride in a car, and there's much more probability with getting in a crash in one of those than a plane. Yes, plane crashes (and car crashes) are horrible; but we only hear about the crashes/accidents, and not about all the other times (like 99%) that planes and cars 'don't' crash.
-
I try to appear comfortable on a plane, but actually I'm just winging it.
-
I am terrified and am flying to LA in 2 weeks!! I have flown before and I can't stand the turbulence. Any advice anyone can give would be great. I am traveling w/my husband. I do have medication also to take. I haven't flown for 2 years now and for some reason, I am extremely nervous this time. Thanks!!
-
DAMN SKIPPY I'm afraid, but it has to be done.
-
I am okay with flying. It gets me to point B faster.
-
A little.
-
No I love flying and do so as often as I can.
-
Flying is awesome! your life is in the hands of the pilot, the wings wobble, and your so high that if the plane screws up, your not gonna see tomorrow. Yeah, a lot of fun!
-
It's not my favorite but it doesn't keep me from traveling when I need to
-
I'm in much more dread of getting through the airport to get on the plane than riding in one.
-
Yes, I will not step onto a plane ~ haven't in years! I understand, it is the safest way to travel yet I avoid it at all costs. Hopefully, my fear will pass (one day).
-
I am somewhat nervous about flying, but I will when time and distance dictate that I do.
-
While in the Air Force there was a time when we thought we were going to have to bail out due to engire problems. As a civilian I felt very vulnerable flying without a chute. Then, as a cop, taking some drunk drivers to jail and completing the booking forms, I found a number of them who said their occupation was as an airline mechanics for some of the biggest carriers - and they were on their way to work! Between that, the crowded skies, terrorists and all, I haven't flown since before 9/11 - and doubt very seriously that I ever will again.
-
i was at first, but when i got on a plane for the first time and took off i realized that when we landed its not to bad after all
-
nope
-
No, I am not afraid to ride in a plane. Traveling on it is fast becoming my interest.
-
No, Plane rides are adventures. Window seat, please!
-
Ha! ... have you ever tried riding on a plane? ...
-
i used too it all started when the freakin 9/11 hit i was terrified but now i got back to normal lol
-
