  • I trust some people and I distrust some others. I would have to meet a particular individual to know whether or not I trusted him, regardless of his religion or political beliefs.
  • Well, lets just say i wouldn't bend over to pick up the soap in front of a catholic priest ok....
  • I might be cautious about hiring a Catholic to work at/run a birth control clinic or Planned Parenthood center but then I wouldn't be asking a prospective employee their religion so I wouldn't have that knowledge a priori. Otherwise I would have to know that person before I could make that decision to a certainty. My wife is nominally Catholic and I totally trust her.
  • why wouldnt you? it just depends on who they are. thats like me saying do you trust girls.
  • No, i keep my children away from them, they are money whores, the pope makes profits from catholics, greedy fish hat guy
  • Only if they trust me. Yeah why not? Theres good and bad in all ppl, regarless of their nationality and religion?
  • Yeah,of course I do,i am one. Whats wrong with catholics?its almost as if you are implying that catholics are dishonest and not to be trusted.Just like what KSU FOOTBALL said,it'd be like me asking do you trust girls? I almost feel insulted.
  • That depends upon the Catholic. I've known and conversed with many. Most of my experiences with them as people have been positive.
  • WTF, over? What kind of question is that? I trust Catholics just as much as I trust people of any particular faith.
  • What are the implications of this question? Should I infer that you distrust all Catholics? It should surprise me that any American would pose this question, but then, I have learned that nothing should surprise me.
  • I read the Bible every day, and I am a Protestant, but this question is outrageous. Of course I trust Catholics, just I would trust anyone from any religion until they prove to me, as individuals, that they cannot be trusted. --
  • As a individual person it would depend on the person. I know a guy who is at church every Sunday, is at confession every week, some nights he is out on the town cheating on his wife, this Catholic I do not trust as he is a hypocrite. My Grand mothers pray every night before bed, they help others, they are kind and try to live a good Catholic lifestyle, these kinds of Catholics I trust. I am part Irish and part Native American Indian, if you know what the Catholics (as a whole) did to the Pagans and the Natives then you would understand why I have a hard time trusting the Catholic Church.
  • I think to be a Catholic in this day and age is very hard. The Catholic Church as well as many other churches are in crisis. My father was raised as a Catholic when he was young, it was just an inherited religion. When he was a teen he changed his belief system completely. When I have dealings with a person, it is on a completely individual basis and their behavior comes into play much more than any religion they may say they belong to.
  • yes, i mean i trust all kinds of people the fact that they have different beliefs than mine and a certain religion it doesn't mean i shouldn't trust them, i guess i only distrust unreliable people.
  • Sure why not. I trust and distrust all people of all faiths and colors. I base my trust upon the individual.
  • What makes you ask this? A catholic or the catholic church itself?
  • I'm Catholic and I think I'm a pretty trustworthy person. I have many Catholic friends and family and I would say the same about them. But the question is very ambiguous, trust Catholics to do what, exactly?
  • Do you? Who do you trust?
  • I trust any person until they teach me to not trust them by something they do or say directly to me.
  • Believe me, I was born, baptized, confirmed-all that shit-but it doesn't lead me to ask a question like this-there may be things going on at higher than high levels-but believe me the average Catholic- or x-catholic like me, hasn't a clue. It's like asking do you trust americans ? because of what a terrbly corrupt and dishonest government has done-in our alleged names, personally, I beliieve in no dogmatic institution that controls the lives and $ as religions-they are no different-and they use each other as tools, as governments. One helps the other....
  • Being that about 80% of the people I talk to everyday are Catholic, I would rather use another yardstick for measuring my trust or distrust.
  • I was one, and I went to a Catholic school. Why? should I not trust them?
  • Pirathames, do you trust Muslims?
  • Catholic or not, I distrust anyone who believes their actions or the actions of their spiritual leaders are beyond reproach.
  • As much as I trust non-Catholics. People are people.
  • I trust, anyone who has earned it, I could care less, what race or religion they are.
  • The Church for true beliefs handed down from Christ through the apostals
  • Say what?
  • I grew up catholic and most of my family is catholic. I trust catholics. I don't really find the point of this question though. I don't judge people's truthfullness by their religion. I leave them to show me this through their actions.
  • Of course. Most of my family and many of my friends are Catholics. Catholics, in general, are as trustworthy as any other human beings. With love in Christ.
  • I try not to base my trust of a person on the person's religious denomination. If I did, I might be sorely surprised and disappointed.
  • My boyfriend is a catholic, so yes. It doesn't depend on your religion.
  • I trust or don't trust people. It depends on the person, not their religion.
  • I don't take personal religious beliefs into account when deciding on who to trust. Thier actions speak louder to me.
  • That's like asking "Do you trust Asians?" or "Do you trust Italians?" or Mexicans, or Irish. Do you have a point, here? Do I trust what a catholic tells me when he/she says they are from the only true religion? I know they aren't. I have to sympathize for them, not pity them.
  • I do not trust catholicism at all, but I believe that everyone can be trusted with something, some with more than others.
  • I married one, so I guess I trust them as much as any other people.
  • NOOOOOO! Catholics are the biggest hypocrits of the whole lot. Also, they're #1 when it comes to not taking responsibility for the own actions. They're one sick bunch!
  • Some I do, some I don't. But it has nothing to do with Catholicism. This is kind of a strange and somewhat prejudiced question. May I ask why you threw Catholics in, rather than just people in general. Do you have a beef with catholicism, its ok, i was one at one time till I left church, but again, WHY CATHOLICS?
  • I don't even think the majority of people who define themselves to a specific belief or another are much closer to it other than the extension of their claims. Religion comes second for me, I'd rather learn about the person themselves to decide whether or not I should trust them.
  • Nope. Out of the whole bunch, Catholics are the worst, the most hypocritical and self-righteous and the least likely to account for their own actions. I wouldn't trust my cat to a Catholic
  • What a bigoted question.
  • What does "trust" have to do with a person's choice (or lack of same) of a particular organized religion?
  • I trust them. I don't know if I like the practice of praying to saints but their still my brothers and sisters.
  • Let's just say I will no longer pick up a penny if a "Papa" is nearby!!! John
  • Yep, good people, not usually insane.
  • Not with children I don't.
  • Yes, I trust the real kind. Not the Nancy Pelosi kind.
  • Do you trust Mother Treasa?
  • I left the church and came back to it. The church has helped me through some pretty hard times. So yes I trust a Catholic. What I don't get if someone said; I don't trust Jews or I don't trust Athiest or I don't trust Muslims it can be ignorance but I don't trust Catholics, its their relgous belifs (People told me that) Ps I do trust all these people I'm making a point here.
  • Do you trust receptionists?
  • Don't trust anyone because they're this or that religion or even athiest. People should be distrusted equally!
  • What a very bizarre question to ask!
  • I don't fully trust any religious people. Been burned too many times.
  • i dont trust their leaders but catholics are good people.
  • Based on religious beliefs alone, I would trust a Catholic before I would trust any other Christian.
  • Yes, but I wouldn't want them to teach my children about sex.
  • as long as they are worthy of it it depends on the person not their religion
  • Absolutely, much more reliable, stronger, more understanding than jews for example which I see as destructive, selfish, racist and a strong beginning for terrorists.
  • IF YOUR ASKING IF I TRUST A RELIGION CALLED CATHOLICS, I'D HAVE TO SAY NO, BUT A INDIVIDUAL THAT DEPENDS. A CATHOLIC PRIEST= INFATICALLY NO BECAUSE WHEN THEY MOLESTED YOUNG CHILDREN ALL THEY GOT WAS A NEW CHURCH TO DO IT AGAIN AND ONE DID RECENTLY. IT WAS ON THE NEWS.I ALSO BELIEVE THIS BEHAVIOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LESBIANS AND GAYS IN OUR COUNTRY, BECAUSE IT ONLY STARTED ABOUT 50 YEARS AGO.
