A jackal is an Old World, Asia, Africa,smallish canine, sorta like a coyote. A jaguar is a large feline,yellow with black 'spots', of the New World, South America, Mexico, may be a few left in extreme South Texas and Arizona. Jackals are 'dogs', jaguars are 'cats.' Jackal would not be a good name for a sports car, they are mostly scavengers, eating dead animals they find, sometimes killing very weak, new born or small animals
