  • not neccessarily.
  • Actually Obama has more of the white vote than the Black vote. Clinton has not really lost her place with the black voters apparently.
  • Not completely.
  • Some are and how stupid is that yo...
  • Maybe some.
  • Well, Im a chick and I'm not voting for Hillary.
  • 90% of black Democrats are voting for Obama. I hope there is more to it than the color of his skin. I hope it has something to do with the content of his character.
  • It's possible, but then again maybe they just like him for his good qualities.
  • The whites who are not voting for him do so because his black? Are white americans voting for Mr.McCain because his white? Are women voting for Hillary because she's a women?
  • The black women always get left out of discussions like this. Going by this logic, who should we vote for?
  • I think not and vote for he for the same reason the majority of people vote for him,for he is most qualified and is offering a new beginning for the country which is needed at this time in history.
  • I think that in every election, there are always going to be some Americans (black and otherwise) who base their votes on arbitrary, meaningless things about candidates such as race, sex, religion or age. However, I think saying "Black Americans" in such a general fashion fails to acknowledge that many black Americans are probably voting for whatever candidate they feel is best regardless of their race, just because some of those people happen to feel that Barack Obama would make the best president doesn't mean that they should be lumped in with the people (hopefully the minority of voters) who are voting for him based solely on his ethnicity. If there weren't still a fair number of people voting based on more substantial factors than race or gender, how would one explain all the black people voting for Hillary? Or all the Women voting for Obama or McCain? In general, people do tend to be biased by how well they can identify with a candidate personally, but that bias doesn't necessarily mean that there aren't valid reasons for that choice, nor does it mean that there aren't people choosing that candidate more because of those reasons than because of any bias.
  • I'm sure some are, just as some women are voting for Clinton, and etc. But, really some people just vote on which name they like more...Obama hasn't gotten this far just because of the black vote, it's because people like his politics.
  • No.Of course not, Im a black 18 year old american female, and i believe that people(black and white) are voting for Qbama because he has great things to offer our future and the future of our children here in America.just as if there was to be a white American man running who had the same ideas that Obama has than i would be voting for him.Race is that the issue.lets look into the bigger picture. GO OBAMA!!!!!!!!
  • Probably not entirely, but I'm sure it's helping his cause.
  • Not all. Black voters vote for whom they feel is the best candidate...and some will vote for the colour of his skin. White voters vote for whom they feel is the best candidate...and some will vote for the colour of his skin.
  • None of the black people that I know (and believe me, I know *quite* a few) are voting for Sen. Obama because he is black. In fact 2 of them were until this afternoon intending to vote for McCain. I might ask are white people voting against Obama just because he is black. the question would be equally ridiculous. Some are, some aren't. And in both cases, let's hope for the sake of this country that these idiots are in the minority. Stop disrespecting peoples' motives by attempting to force them into shallow, little boxes.
  • No. Because most of them are democrats. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/4362009
  • I have always been a Clinton Supporter. I do like what Obama has to offer so, I'm swinging my vote towards him. But regardless of who any of us vote for just make sure you do get out and vote.
  • Honestly, I think there are a whole bunch who will do so unfortunately.
  • Just the opposite. White Americans are voting for Geezer McCain and Bimbo McPalin just because they are white.
  • Some are. And it's good, cuz some blacks don't vote anyhow, now they have a reason to vote lol BLACK POWER!!!
  • Yes, just as Asian-Americans will vote for Asian-American candidates, and Mexican-Americans will vote for their own
  • I would have to yes to that question. The number of black voters registered for this election is way up. If it were just because he is a Democrat the numbers should basically be around the same + or - a few.+3 for the question.
  • Some yes some know Racism works both ways people seem to ignore that fact. . . . .

  • From what I have seen on the news at in talking with friends, I would say yes. Politics don't even enter into it. Why did O.J. get away with murder?
  • No, I do not think so. Political maturity in America has now transcended racial divide. I am sure and confident that Americans will pick the best person as President to lead them and to chart a course of change for a better tomorrow. I am glad that the most powerful country in the world has now become of age.
  • Yes, I believe that most blacks are voting for Obama because he is black, just like many women are voting for McCain because his running mate, Sarah Palin, is a woman. May the best man win!
  • I think so. If I was black I would
  • Yes,because most of the blacks in this country are uninformed. They chose not to take advantage of the education system, blame all their troubles on whites, and all they hear is "Obama gone give us free money".
  • Barack Obama is black?! Good grief, what is the world coming to?
  • No everyone is voting for him because he is going to spread the wealth
  • Not 'just' because he's black. Most of my black friends seem to think that the gov't owes them a living. This is in keeping with Obama's message. Very few of them recognize that as long as they remain dependent on gov't, they will never be truly free.
  • Yes some members of the African- American strongly feel that way.
  • Yes, most did
  • Yes, blacks voted for him because he said he was black and no other reason. They did not care what he stood for he said he was black and promised to give blacks and immigrants money and that brought him the vote as he knew most of them are greedy for free money. After all they do make up 90% of welfare.
  • I think so. They think he will give them more perks, like more welfare etc.
  • i think racist blacks would vote for OJ, Al Sharp , Jessee Jackson,....character and qualifications would not be a consideration...just race....which i think is why the black racists voted...... i also think that the young and 'unconventional' would vote color....for 'conventional' reasons only... but i believe the majority of the ones who pushed his election ,needed a 'puppet' ....but that puppet has come alive and is BITING THE HAND THAT FED "IT"... i myself would of voted for Bill Cosby, Colin Powell, even MLK.....good honest 'character' and 'common sense' MEN.....
  • Exactly!
  • No. They voted for him because he was not Bush. So did everyone else.
