  • Absolutely not! You will end up leaving your transmission behind.
  • I would strongly - immensely recommend AGAINST doing this. I accidentally did this once (long light, put in neutral, passenger distracted me) and the wheels spun nicely at around 2500rpm. It hurt me inside though. Your transmission will likely handle it 5 or 6 times. After that, you will notice weird noises, shifting will feel different, off-the-line power will suck, and the transmission is basically ruined. At 4000rpm you should get a nice, smokey burnout. At the same time though that's what your transmission will be doing inside - keep that in mind.
  • I think the best you could hope for is a basket full of neat looking parts lying on the ground. You can put them on the coffee table to really impress you friends. Oh, put the repair bill along side of them, that will really wow the croud....
