Riddle: your stuck on a riverbank with a dog, a cat and a mouse. you have one boat and the boat can only carry you plus on animal. the dog or mouse cannot be left with cat. how do you get you and the 3 animals over the river?

take the cat. go back and get the dog. drop it iff and take the cat back. pickup the mouse and take him over to the dog. go back and get the cat. take the cat to dog and mouse. since you werent very clear i can leave the all 3 animals together while im on the same bank with them.

take the cat over first and leave it there. The second trip, take the dog and on the way back bring back the cat. Then leave the cat and take the mouse. The 3rd trip bring the cat again.

Have the cat eat the mouse. Then drag the cat by rope through the water while the dog sits in your lap. Dang, do I have to think of everything?!

If it's like any river around here, just pick up the cat and dog, pocket the rat, and wade across the 1 and a half foot deep river. That, or knock down a nearby dried out tree across the river and walk on the tree like a bridge. You can also balance the boat over a nearby rock, put the dog and rat in there and catapult them over the river, then take the cat across in the boat. Or, sell the boat to another nearby crosser and pay the toll bridge tax. That, or don't cross the river at all, break up the boat, and use the wood to build your new home where you, the cat, and the rat can live happily ever after.
