  • I think it would be ok to give him a chance, but retain a little healthy skepticism- after all, he has let you down once already. Its possible he did have a good reason for missing the event, or maybe a not so good reason- and now he feels bad about it- maybe he even got nervous about it and that's what went wrong (unlikely, but possible)- so yes, sending the text can't do any harm- in fact the first thing I'd text would be "where have u been?" (!)- just don't expect too much from him until you've had a bit more evidence of his reliability.
  • Sure, just tell him, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!" Then, don't have anything to do with him because he's apparently just wasting your time and is of no help.
  • You know, that phone also does something else besides text. Maybe he could try using that "undocumented" feature.
