Why can't I date my best friend's little sister? There seems to be an unspoken rule that I don't know about.

People are very protective of thier little sisters, I would let a friend date mine, but he better treat her well...I'd rip his arms off if he didn't...and not just his arms come to think of it :-)

If anyone slept with mine I would call the police. She is eight. But if she was old enough, and if the friend didn't mind, then there is no rule.

My fried dated my little sister, I never had a problem with it because I knew he'd treat her right. They are now getting married next summer.

Perhaps he doesn't feel you are good enough to date her? Maybe he knows the real you? Maybe he doesn't know your intentions (or does he?)... if things go wrong in the relationship it could inadvertantly effect your friendship. Maybe he thinks your friendship is too valueable to risk on an attempt to have a relationship with his sister. Why do you want to date your friends little sister?

It's not the dating that they have a problem with. It is when she likes you and the relationship leads to "relations" is where the problems come to the forefront. I dated the sister of a best friend. He did not know we were dating, but knew I was going out with someone new. He kept asking me "guy questions" about my new girl and it was wierd. I finally admitted I was dating his sister. he was pissed.

Well it's ok to, but I wouldn't recommend it. It would make things very awkward between you and your friend.

Alright I'm a younger sister, and I was seriously n love with my brothers best friend last summer this spring he finally admitted he liked me! But we hooked up a few times but we were both way to afrad to tell my brother because he's so protective, he,d sleep over at my brothers just to sneak into my room, whew snuck in 5 times and last week was for sure the last time cause it just got really hard for both of us to keep going without being public, we didnt have sex and im glad about that but I'm pretty sad we never got to be in a real relationship And the whole situation just blows, so advice dont get involved unless you know the relation ship won't fail. Cause Losing your brother or your best friend wasnt worth mine or his love.
