  • In the woods with the bears and wolves! No way in hell with the spiders!! I have roofed before but I didn't like it!
  • I'll take my chances in the woods, too. I HATE spiders, and I am not too good with heights either.
  • I'll take the roof for kicks
  • I vote bears and wolves. They generally WILL stay away from people, and if not it's best to make sure you have another person back there with you anyway. I couldn't personally do the spider thing too easily. Especially after the welt on my butt from one biting me last night. And I'm terribly afraid of heights. So the first option would not work either.
  • I'll take a hike in the woods.... although you didn't mention what kind of work I would be doing. But, I have more faith in surviving with wild animals than I do with gravity, and I don't do well in small spaces - the spiders would put me over the edge.
  • I'll take the woods, and a gun please.
  • Take some money out of your savings account and hire experts to do the jobs for you! :)
  • Can I have Chuck Norris with me?
  • I'm afraid of being attacked by bears, but that's the one my husband would choose. I worked for several years for my dad's roofing company, so I probably wouldn't have a problem doing the roof. I know how to do it safely. There's no way you'd get me into a crawl space with spiders. That just isn't happening!
  • I think you need to get a new career counselor. But if I had only those choices, I'd choose the steps. Can't stand spiders and don't like the idea of being mauled by bears. Rent Grizzly Man and Arachnophobia and there you will find your answer.
  • 1. Aaargh. I hate heights. I could probably climb up there, but I doubt I could work. 2. Spiders? No problem. As long as it isn't too tight a squeeze, I can do this one. 3. Bears and wolves? I'd take some advice, and give them plenty of chances to avoid me. But that souldn't be too much of a problem.
  • I hate heights and confined spaces so I'll take the woods. I'd just strap my S&W model 29 .44 mag to my hip and be on my way.
  • I can deal with the spiders.
  • I'd choose to re-roof... at least you can tether yourself to the house, but you keep a spider, a bear, or a wolf from jumping on you and attacking!
  • Reroofing sounds the best if someone can carry the shingles up and fix me up a harness.
  • I'll take the roof
  • Work in the woods chances are those animals will be at each others throats and they will ignore you.
  • I would work in the woods. First of all, if I I'm not strapped into anything, then I have a fear of heights! So standing on a steep roof is a no way! I hate spiders...so the crawl space is OUT! So yeah, the woods it is. Plus, I think I'm a cool guy...and I'm sure the bears would see how cool I am and become good friends with me:)
  • I dont suffer Vertigo so the roof is alright, absolutely no fear of spiders (I am bigger than them :).) but I wouldn't like to be caught in the woods with a wolf pack in front of me and a bear behind (pun) :)
  • 1) can't do heights like that, so I'd hire someone 2) insect spray - spiders dead - I'm okay with this one 3) Wolves, yes. They will generally stay a fair distance away, and would only be curious anyway. Bears, no way. Bears can be aggressive so I'd have to skip this one too.
  • What are you most afraid of? DO that one first. Then you will find the rest easy. If money is a factor, do the one you can afford. And I wouldn't worry about bears. We have bears here and unless it's a newly transplanted problem bear, they aren't anything to worry about. Wolves don't bother people. That's a myth. Climb the roof or face the spiders. I'd do the roof, as we just did part of ours and it is about the same height and a steep pitch. Had to use toe boards and one one side it's even higher from the ground than 32 feet.
  • forget the roof, I would do the woods job or the crawl space. Bug bomb the crawl before and carry a gun in the woods.
  • Re-roof. The only thing I have to worry about controling then is myself..
  • surely some sort of person could be paid to do these things
  • Hmm... you know... I have been thinking about the answer to this question for a while... And all I have come down to is number 1 and number 3... because I absolutely HATE spiders... So NO WAY with that one... I love nature... but that's a lot of bears and wolves... and are you attached to anything when you are re-roofing the house?... I think if you weren't... I would rather be eaten by bears and wolves... So i'm going to have to go with that one... heh.. You should make more questions like this one :o)
  • As long as the roof job is done when its dry & on a nice cool day. I would have no problem with it. As far as those spiders or the 3 active bear dens & the pack of wolfs. I think I would pick the bears & wolfs over the spiders unless there was a way to take something like a leaf blower and suck all those spiders away first. Ya I would take (1) & (3) over (2) anytime. Remember I worked 30+ years in timber & sawmills. I've been around all three. P.S. If you do have to do this type of work. And those bears or wolfs have young ones. Try to stay as far away from their young as you can. Because like any Mother or Father. They will try their best to keep the young one's safe........M.C.S.
  • 1) cannot do.... and sun sensitive so I'd have to do it at night as well. lol... no 2) Clautrophobia..... F#ck no.... 3) Yay... woods=trees for shade.... plus it is September, so it is cool..... very little chance of bieng bugged by wildlife. Not scared.... I would do #3 for sure!
  • Here Boo boo!
  • I'd have no problem with choice #2.
  • 1. Get the bear to sort the roof out. 2. Get the wolf to sort the spiders out. 3. Go into the woods while their busy and roll a doobie.
  • I'd do the re-roofing job.
  • I'd have no problem at all doing the roofing. Just get a harness and rope and tie it to something so if you happen to slip, you don't fall. I've done work higher and unharnessed, as long as I'm the only one up there. Spiders... no, that's someone else's job. I HATE spiders. Wolves and Bears are unlikely to attack, and all you have to do is take a weapon and a way to scare them off. They're not scary.
  • #1 or #3 are good..not crawling under a house..spiders dont bother me but I am betting there are waterbugs down there too..lol :)
  • Door number 2 with spiders for me.
  • Isn't there a desk job available? I guess the crawl space.
  • gas the spiders a day ahead and I will crawl. No heights for me, and I don't ever want to be thought of as dinner.
  • Crawl Space with Spiders, without a doubt!
