  • Hi here are some ideas to think about: What software are you burning with? Is it a 3 rd party apps? ie. Nero or are you trying to use the OS to burn? ie. Windows XP. For the most part, the OS lacks built-in support for DVDs. That's why we use 3rd party apps for burning DVDs. The apps can and do recognize blank DVDs for what they are. If you are using 3rd party; is it still installed? If yes: try unistalling, clean your OS with CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ (make sure you use the registry cleaner) and restart the computer then reinstall the app. This may resolve your issue. If not consult your local guru and make a appointment for a computer check up. Hope this helps Robert www.rbs.netfirms.com
