I would also check whether it is legal to sell houses that way in California under state law. I would also check to see whether it is in your financial interests to do so as it would be a great deal of work and you may not get the returns. Regards

  • While selling anything in California via lottery is illegal, I don't believe there's anything wrong with composing an essay, such as: "Why I deserve to win that house," or "Which U.S. President was the best, and why," saying grammar and spelling counts, etc. The writer pays for that privilege and then the winner is announced after the seller of the house actually reads all the entries and makes his decision.
