Yes, replace the battery. It's probably dead.
-
I would replace the battery and if it drains the battery again send it back to the sony company
-
just replace the battrey
-
I dont thing k the batteries being "completely drained one day" would do any immediate damage, Mine has run out of power several times, it still works as if it was brand new. in fact, you SHOULD discharge it every now and then to extend its overall operating life. if your batteiries are old, then maybe it is time for new batteries. If it was working fine then suddenly stopped running from the batteries alltogether, I would say its ur PSP. :( sorry (If your PSP is broken, then I feel ur pain- I'M ON MY FOURTH PSP!!!!!!!!!)(i never had this problem though but just about every other problem) If I had to do it over again I would have gotten the game boy DS

Yes you should change the battery, but first get it checked by a pro.
-
the best way is to ask someone at bes buy. it worked for me
-
There two thing you can do get one of those batterty wall charger which is lik 40 dollars down the drain or make pandoras battery
-
just replace the battrey or if not buy a pandora battery with magic Memory Stick Pro Duo which has 512mb+ meomory or over then you can do whatever for want for "free"
-
It could be the battery, but it sounds Just as likely to be the charger. Before you go buy a new battery for $20-$50, first try testing it with another charger, either a friends PSP charger. If your friends don't have one, look for a plug around your house that will fit, BUT MAKE SURE the wall plug says something in the range of 4.5V to 5.5V. Also, you can ask your local Gamestop of EB Games if they have a plug you can try to test it. The worst case scenario is the plug portion of your PSP is shot and you'll need it repaired or a new PSP.

Our PSP has this problem. Bought a new battery - which charges - but when wall plug is removed, the PSP shuts down right away. Voltage is good on both wall charger and battery pack. Could it be a voltage monitor circuit in the charge area of PWR Supply ckt board? If so, how to bypass this ckt?

test battery in another psp , friend/gamestop for charging and if its good its most likely your charge hole fuse , loose wire , or battery contacts

I just bought a psp today, and i have the same problem -.-
