I don't travel daily. But there are a lot of homeless people here. Its a big city and they have a lot of services for the homeless. I moved here when I became homeless myself waiting the two years for my disability case to go to court. There are formerly homeless people in my apartment complex. The homeless shelter rents apartments to place homeless in when they get an income and can pay rent. There are facilities here for veterans as well. They often struggle with homelessness. I stayed in one shelter for women only, one for veterans and one for women and children in the two years I was homeless. I'm guessing more people see homeless than realize it. Many have jobs, nice clothes and are clean. They ride the bus, shop for groceries, go to school, etc. How do you know if you're looking at one?
