  • I don't watch them, It's not about the craft anymore. It's all about personal opinions of the actors. Frankly, just because they are in a movie i happen to watch doesn't mean I am interested in their political views.

Agreed. That fact seems to be lost on them all. It's the same with actors and athletes usually.
  • No, I think it's a waste of time. I don't give a damn about some fool's opinions about best movie, best actor, etc. I have my own mind. In my opinion, bad movies and stars often win awards. Now that lunatic left politics has taken over awards shows, I'm doubly sure not to watch them. I boycott stars who say and do offensive things.

I like how after all the grandiose back-slapping, they kick in the balls, half of the audience that they want to pay for movie tickets. And after collecting their millions, complain about all the other rich folks.
  • No, I certainly do not. I do not share the opinions of whoever gives the awards, and I do not care to see such dubious opinions. Lately, far-left politics has taken over such shows, and I refuse to be subjected to biased imbeciles' opinions that are often offensive to me. I am a retired actress, and I would never be dumb enough to offend millions of potential buyers of tickets to my movies. Some of them seem to imagine that everyone will copy their dumb opinions, but many people boycott them. They should have kept their mouths shut.

I couldn't agree with your more, ReiSan. They should stick to their pretending and giving each other awards all year. I think Jerry Sienfeld had it right.... awards are stupid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u-dxn8IgQo
  • No, I never have wanted to see them. It is just a gathering of fools choosing best movie, best actor, etc. I think for myself, so I do not care what these fools think. I hate movie critics too. If they rave about it, I am quite certain to hate it. Now, Lunatic Left politics has taken over award shows as it has done to late night talk shows. I do not want to hear this imbecile make offensive remarks. If they imagine everyone will copy their foolish beliefs, thay are quite mistaken.

Only the Kool-Aid drinkers follow these fools.

Yes, I see many mindless people on various websites, and I know some people who cannot think for themselves, so they mindlessly chant whatever critics or Oscar presenters say. I recall my good friend Jeung Chin told me that if I went to see a movie, I should see one that critics raved about. I went to see it, and I hated it so badly that I walked out halfway or so through it.
  • I watch all of them.
  • I agree with you, as the writers are the ones that deserve as much as they get. I remember trying to watch my 1st show of it some 40 years ago and I couldn't tolerate more than a 1/2 hour of it, if that.
  • No, I don't watch them, and yes, they are hypocritical.
  • No, but then I don't watch much anything anymore. Got rid of Comcast, then ditched the near useless Mohu Leaf antenna, so what few movies and TV shows I now watch are streaming from internet freesites. I'm very selective about what I watch, and avoid 'woke' crap, so not much on offer. Fortunately I have an extensive DVD collection, so it's not too hard to avoid the leftist drivel that Hollyweird has specialized in for the last ten+ years.
  • I lost interest when they started using their acceptance speeches to tout their politics. Most actors are dumber than a box of rocks. they should just stick to acting and looking pretty or handsome.
  • I watch most of them.
  • Not for over 20 years!!! They love themselves so much that I feel they don't need the competition!!!
  • No I f ind them boring. A lot of pomp , glamour and little circumsances. No offense to other members who think otherwise.
  • I haven't watched any in at least 15 years. They're pretty much crap and there are too many of them.
